Honda Shadow description

2009 Honda Shadow Spirit Red Low-Rider Cruiser - $2,500 Savings!

2009 Honda Shadow Spirit New: $6,999

2012 Honda Shadow Spirit New: $8,240

2009 Honda Shadow Spirit like new: $3,995 (BIN this auction)!

Only 1 ½ years old (purchased in late 2010)! This is my wife’s cruiser – she’s an experienced, easy rider. This cruiser is perfect for a male or female who needs a very low seat height (25.7 inches), the lowest in the industry! I find this Honda Shadow to be the best handling cruiser we’ve owned (fourth) and the lightest – the larger, narrower front wheel and tire make turning effortless at any speed!

This motorcycle has never been raced, dropped or abused in any way. It has never seen rain and spends most of its life with my collection – in my garage. It is in pristine condition with only 2,800 miles! The 600 mile service was completed by a certified Honda mechanic.

I have added shorter handlebars (with less rise) to provide greater conform for a shorter rider (5’ 6”). They look fantastic on this cruiser! The original handlebars will be provided to the buyer. There are no additional modifications to this motorcycle.

If you would like the best looking/handling cruiser in this category at a $2,500 savings – bid on this beauty – you will not be disappointed.

No hidden dealer fees! Illinois buyers – save hundreds on sales tax with private party purchase!

2009 Honda Shadow Spirit General Information:

Timeless styling, V-twin power and value that will make your head turn. The Honda Shadows, big-time cruisers with full-size looks and 750cc performance—without the full-size price.

Sit on a Shadow Spirit 750 and we know what you’re going to think: “This is the perfect bike for me.” And no wonder: The Spirit 750 combines style, performance, comfort, and Honda technology all into a sporty cruiser package. The 21-inch wheel out front sets the tone, and the V-twin engine provides all the fun. In between you’ll find a perfect blend of classic and modern styling touches, including spoked wheels, plenty of chrome, and a super-comfortable riding position. Get ready for some stares when you’re riding this bike. And plenty of envy, too.

The power that lurks in the Shadows.

There’s nothing like a V-twin when it comes to cruising. And the Shadow Spirit gets one of our best: a 745cc powerplant that provides plenty of torque and a wide, user-friendly powerband.

 Don’t be fuelish.

One of the best things about the Shadow Spirit? It gets awesome fuel economy. How good? How about an estimated 56 miles per gallon? Now that’s Honda smart!

Read “Motorcycling Excellence” – a great book on safety and training. Wear a DOT and SNELL 2005 certified helmet. Wear a motorcycle padded jacket (leather or mesh), long pants, and boots when you ride! Gloves are optional but advised – even on those 90 degree sunny days!

Owner Reviews (Powersportnetwork.com):

 A True Five Star Machine!

I just got back into riding after about two years. I looked at a lot of bikes, new and used. I bought this 2009 brand new with zero miles. I took it on a 100-mile ride this weekend, and it was just awesome. The ride had a lot of country roads, with lots of twists and turns, exactly what I needed to get comfortable with this bike. It runs great, handles great. This is a keeper!

 Speechless!!

I just bought my first bike in March 2009. I have wanted one for years. I am shorter female and had a hard time finding a bike that fit me in height and weight. After speaking to several dealerships, I decided on the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2. Beautiful bike! It is definitely suited for the female rider. I had it lowered 2 inches. Even being lowered, it is a smooth ride. Being new to the bike world, I am extremely happy with my bike and look forward to many miles on the road.

 WOW!!

This bike is amazing! There is no term that can properly describe how this bike rides, handles, and performs in general. I bought this bike with high aspirations, and I was definitely not disappointed. My previous bike was a V-Star 650 Classic, nice in its own right, but the Shadow...OUTSTANDING!

Honda MotoGP Production Racer Undergoes Testing at Motegi

Mon, 27 May 2013

Development of Honda‘s new production racer is well underway, as the new (relatively) low-cost MotoGP racebike underwent testing at Japan’s Twin Ring Motegi circuit May 23-24. Conceived as a lower-cost option for race teams, the production racer project is running slightly behind schedule but Honda still expects it will available in time for the 2014 MotoGP season. Early reports estimate the price for the production racer to be around US$1.26 million, a substantial price, but still considerably less expensive than rumored $3.9 million it currently costs to lease a Honda RC213V for one season.

Geeky snippets ahead of the Phillip Island MotoGP

Tue, 13 Oct 2009

Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.

Rea and Haslam Re-Sign with Pata Honda for 2014 WSBK Championship

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

The Pata Honda racing team announced it has re-signed Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam to compete in the 2014 World Superbike Championship. It’s been a disappointing season for both rider, thanks in large part to injuries. Rea is currently on the shelf with a fractured femur sustained in a crash at Nurburgring while Haslam also missed several rounds earlier in the season because of a broken leg.
