2009 HONDA VT750C SHADOW SPIRIT This Shadow is a recent bank repossession. The bike has very low miles with only 4K miles. It appears it may have been sitting for awhile. Both original tires do have dry rot. I will be installing two brand new tires. The rest of the bike is in excellent condition with the only blemish to the rear fender. The previous owner had throw over saddle bags on the bike and they scuffed up the rear fender a little. (see picture) The bike does not come with saddle bags. The color is gloss black and the paint and chrome shines. It has no dents or pitting. The bike has been detailed and safety checked. All the lights, horn and gauges work 100%. It does have a new battery and new tires. I have taken this Honda on a reliability run and the engine, clutch and gear box all sound and perform as they should. Thu, 14 Jul 2011Suzuka was always one of the great circuits; unfortunately the Japanese track was dropped following the tragic death of Daijiro Kato in 2003 as the course was deemed too tight and dangerous for the rapid four-strokes. Owned by Honda, Suzuka is a magical place combining arching S-bends from the start of the lap, high-speed in the middle and finished off with the technical and oft racing deciding final chicane, the location of many fantastic last lap battles. However the death of Kato, and Honda’s major hope of a Japanese champion, placed a dark cloud over the 5.807 kilometres of tarmac.

Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.
