Hot Lap Around Spa-Francorchamps With Xavier Simeon

Fri, 20 Jan 2012

If you’re a fan of motorsport on both two and four wheels like me, then you should be familiar with the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Here, Belgian native Xavier Simeon, the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 champion and current Moto2 competitor, does a couple flying laps around his home track aboard a Honda CBR600RR at what appears to be a trackday. Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

It’s somewhat jarring then to find buried within the radical rhetoric a full page spread on a 125cc Honda as one of the Taliban’s “Steeds of War”.
