Sportbike VS Rat Bike Drag Race – Video

In a revision of the classic hustle of tempting someone with something shiny and new with the easy mark of something old and dumpy, this CBR1000 rider lines up against a 70 hp Harley rat bike in a back alley drag race. What makes this video so compelling is the Honda rider’s unfailing belief in the superiority of his higher-powered, more performance-oriented motorcycle. He lines up against the Harley rider not once, not twice, but three times – only to get his ass handed to him each time.

A postcard from Moto GP Jerez

If the weather over the Jerez Moto GP weekend was dull then the atmosphere in the press room was the complete opposite.  After the carnage and chaos during the Moto 3 race, the amazing Romano Fenati (in only his second GP) had the Italian journalists celebrating as he crossed the line to win. I smiled as they simultaneously began singing ‘Y Viva Espana’ as if to signify the end of Spanish dominance in the junior GP class.

Honda Announces More New-Model Releases For 2012

Lost in all the hoopla surrounding the new models being released at EICMA this week, Honda has announced details about a few more models in its 2012 lineup: the CB1000R, CBR250R, Silver Wing scooter and the Ruckus, along with the cutting-edge VFR1200F that receives an infusion of impressive new technology for 2012 (which we’ll highlight in a separate blog entry). All of which are returning models from 2011. Pricing is yet to be determined.
