Honda Shadow description
Due to growing kids and their demands along with changing priorities, I am no longer able to justify keeping this beauty around. After a 10+ year love affair I have decided to let her go. ----- I purchased this bike in February of 2003 with appx 5800 miles on it. It was pretty much a stock bike at that point with the exception of the Mustang seat covers and tank bib. In the first few years that I had it I did all of the customizing. In the past 4 to 5 years with my kids getting older and requiring more time I have not had much time for riding it. I'll spare you the details on the final straw that has brought me to the point of selling it. ----- As of now, She has 28,020 miles on her. She's never been laid down. Only ran premium gas even when it was $4+ a gallon. I have done most of the maintenance myself. The only thing that I paid for was for a dealer to change the fork seals because I was in a hurry at the time and didn't have time to do it. ----- Things worth mentioning: Within the last 2000 miles, the carbs have been cleaned, voltage reg. has been replaced, spark plug wires have been replaced, and both front and rear tires are practically brand new. ----- Things that are included: Battery Tender, customized Craftsman motorcycle lift (These Honda engines dangle below the frame so a standard lift won't work without being modified), Honda service manual, one extra oil filter, various maintenance items (lubes, cleaners), Windshield and lower deflectors (I forgot to install them for the pictures so I included a couple of old shots that have them). ----- Here is a list of most of the many things that have been customized: --- Bolt ons: Cobra crash bar, Kuryakyn hwy pegs, National Cycle Lightbar, Chrome visors all around, Mustang seat covers and tank bib, Cobra front wheel hub cover, Chrome brake caliper cover, Memphis Shades windshield, National Cycle lower deflectors, Chrome master cylinder cover, Chrome Radiator cover, Crome OEM horn cover, Chrome sissy bar, Yamaha Royal Star mirrors, OEM battery replaced with Scorpion YTZ14S maintenance free Chromed OEM Parts: Floorboards, Hand controls and master cyl, Triple tree and risers, Rear footpeg brackets, Front brake rotor ----- Not so Bolt on: Valkyrie handlebar swap, Progressive fork springs, HD hand grips, Thumb operated throttle lock, Added switch to frame cover for spotlights, Chrome drive shaft cover, WOLO air horn mounted to left side of cylinders, Color matched lever braids, Signal Dynamics heads up voltage indicator, Installed .045 pilot jets ----- Truly Custom: HD rear turn signal bar (matches fron NC lightbar signals), Pro-One tag frame mount with OEM tag light, Added second button to triple tree for garage door opener, Billet American Flag sissy bar cover with LED brake lights, Reinforced Ghost Brackets
