Honda Shadow tech info
Honda Shadow description
Only selling due to disability. The rig's a 1998 Honda Shadow 1100 with ONLY 30,768 ORIGINAL MILES; for a Honda, that's barely broken in. It's been mated with a 2005 Velorex sidecar. I used to be a distance rider, but unfortunately, that's not the case anymore. Someone needs to take over what I began, i.e., breaking in this wonderful bike!
I've had to remove the cowling (will be replaced) on the sidecar in order to put my walker in it. I live surrounded by the water here in Florida, and even though I've tried to keep the rig covered, it has plenty of surface ruse; something a little elbow grease and an able-bodied person can handle. The seats need reupholstery but are still "useable". The only other "problem" is that just yesterday, the driving lights AND my neutral light went out; I'm guessing lightbulb, but I'm no expert. This is a GREAT rig that handles like a dream due to the tilt and trim, which I added when I bought it; helps with road camber issues, making steering a little bit easier. It also has Kury grips, a heel-toe shifter and a brake installed on the side car wheel. It rides and handles wonderfully well at all speeds. Purple mermaids have been airbrushed on the sidecar, front and back, and there's some design-type of work/airbrushing done on the sides of the tank and the fenders; it's ready to be touched up - as for the gentleman, it'll probably get an entire coat of new paint! I live in SWFL and any/all delivery options are the buyer's responsibility. This rig is being sold "AS IS" This rig will be a STEAL for someone. Make me an offer I can't refuse. When sold, I'll require $2000 down with the rest due at title exchange. |

Pit Biking; good clean fun for all the family
Wed, 01 Feb 2012If you haven’t tried Pit Biking yet, you’re missing out on some incredible fun, and it won’t break the bank. The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability! Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.
