Honda Shadow description

This bike runs great, however it has some issues with paint scratches and minor rust here and there.  The bike and boxes could use a paint job, but it looks great to me.  It is a work horse with the big boxes, and I have used it that way.  I've picked up a lot of groceries with this bike.  I think the previous owner dropped it and there are some minor signs of that happening.   I took the boxes off another bike and they need painting, but they are water tight, and they look great to me.  It could use a new rear tire but the front tire is in good shape.  I did some work on the bike and removed the gas tank, when I put it back I tightened the front bolt too tight, which caused a small crack in the tank.  If you fill the tank to the very top it will leak a small amount of gas.  I stop filling when the nozzle kicks off and it is a few inches down, there is no issues with gas leaking that way.  I've been riding it that way for a couple years now with no problems.  As long as you don't fill it to the very top there is no problem.   I rode the bike from Florida to the Georgia mountains last summer and it was a great ride.  The only issue I had was with the battery, which I replaced.
Please consider your location when biding on this bike.  If shipping cost is too high, or you can't come get it, please don't bid.   You will be responsible for pickup, so unless you live close enough to come get it, think about the high cost of shipping before you bid.

This entry-level offering checks all the boxes for new riders and seasoned enthusiasts alike Photos by Jay McNally The Honda XR150 has been in production since 2003, though up until recently it wasn’t available in the US market. Selling most of the units in Asia or Latin America, the XR150 platform is one of the most popular entry-level dual-sports, and its introduction to the US comes with some welcome perks; time tested engine and components plus a 20-year history of available parts – both OEM and aftermarket. Honda’s reliability is legendary, and this little XR150L is likely no exception.

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
