Honda Shadow description

This is a Honda Shadow VT1100 motorcycle. It is a model year 1992 and has 21298 miles on it today. It will go up slightly as I ride it to and from school about 40 miles a day or so. This bike is a larger style bike and probably is better for someone used to bigger bikes. The bars are aftermarket and they are much lower than the stock bars so it may help if you are a bit taller. My friend who is 5 foot 7 drove it without issue but he is very comfortable with all bikes so his experience helps. If you are not sure, please come down and look at the bike prior to buying. All the controls work and the cables should be long enough to put stock bars back on it if necessary. The engine runs great and sound very nice with the straight pipe exhaust. I have baffles that came with it but have never used them. It runs through the gears very smoothly and shifts nice. The bike has plenty of power and moves with ease for a big bike. The tank has a small dent as noted in the pictures, the tank and rear fender were painted a flat black. Bike comes with a front fender that is not on it right now. I don't like the look with the front fender but it is included. The fender is not painted to match, it is two tone red and silver I believe and the paint is not good on it. The fender is in decent shape though. All the lights work except the front right turn signal which is missing. Tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left, brakes work and are about half worn evenly in front and back. Suspension is fine, nothing damaged, leaking, etc. The seat was at some point re-done was upholstered in white instead of black. Both seats are in good condition. Bike has rear seat back/sissy bar included but not pictured. It is black however and does not match the bottom seats pictured. Stock chrome pegs are included, a service manual for the bike, and the oil change kit to change the oil at the end of the year. Stock left and right mirrors are also included with the bike. Although the bike is in decent shape, it is almost 25 years old. It has been well cared for but also ridden. As noted it should pass any safety inspection(except the turn signal) and will ride anywhere. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or come take a look if you are in the area.

2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.

I'm buying a Honda SH300i scooter

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

I want to buy a second bike to get across town on the daily commute as I currently ride a 183bhp ZX-10R to work and while it's a peach of a bike, it tempts me into doing bad things on a daily basis. This has to stop. My criteria is fairly simple: I want something that is cheap to buy (close to £2k), cheap to run, frugal on the fuel, easy to ride, nimble through traffic, dull enough to not get nicked and ABS is a deal-maker.
