Honda Sabre description

I have a nice 1984 Honda Sabre 700cc. It was fully restored by previous owner. I have owned it since 2011. As with any bike this age, it is not perfect but it is in very good condition. I purchased this bike with the intention of going riding with my wife. We didn't use them as often as we had planned so we are selling both bikes. It has been started up and driven each summer. It has been stored inside year around. I purchased a new battery in April of this year. I just don't use it enough to keep it. It is now looking for a new owner.

Sold as is where is. Please look at all pictures and ask all questions before bidding. The bike is not pristine condition but it is in very good condition for its age. I recommend coming to look at it before you bid. I do not offer shipping. If you want it to be shipped it is your responsibility to arrange shipping.  Pick up only. Thank you for looking and Happy Bidding!

Looking after number 1

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

There was a time when a rider’s number indicated his position from the previous season, with the ultimate accolade being the number 1 emblazoned on the front of the champion's bike. The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.
