Up for auction is a complete 1971 Honda SL 125. I bought this locally from someone who pulled it out of a garage that it had been sitting in since the late 80's. The plates expired in 1989. It appears all there and all original. I believe one exhaust heat shield and an SL125 emblem on one of the side covers is missing. Wheels appear straight, no missing spokes, tires hold air. I bought this to use for a cool small displacement cafe type bike. I looked for awhile to find one that was complete and had a clear title + keys. If you've ever dealt with "lost" titles, bonded titles, etc, then you know that just having a title, keys, etc is worth saving several headaches! The gas tank is rusted, but the bike overall has a nice patina/original look to it. It doesn't fire-up or turn-over at all. Please ask if there are any questions! Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class
Mon, 07 Jan 2013The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.

Mon, 16 Apr 2012Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.

McGuinness had recorded third-place finishes at the Superbike, Superstock and the second Supersport TT races earlier in the week, but the active leader in Isle of Man TT wins was stuck at 19 wins all week. That finally changed and the Honda TT Legends racer finally earned win #20 in the final race of this year’s event, the Senior TT.
