Isle of Man TT 2012: Sidecar TT 2 Results

Dave Molyneux and passenger Patrick Farrance won the second Sidecar TT race to sweep the sidecar class in the 2012 Isle of Man TT. The duo won the first Sidecar TT race earlier in the week where they led every lap but this time Molyneux and Farrance had to mount a comeback on the final lap for the win. The Tim Reeves and Dan Sayle led after the opening lap on an LCR Honda sidecar with a time of 20:16.09, averaging 111.692 mph.

Alongside the most stunning collection of race and road bikes at their Motegi museum, next to some race bikes, Honda also has a step by step guide on most aspects of riding. I photographed the wonderful text on push starting but I also have lots of equally hilarious instructions on cornering braking and even what a riders goal should be. Traction control? Yawn...

My long-term Fireblade went back to Honda last week and, seeing as it’s sunny and mild outside now, I’m already missing it. It is one of the best 1000cc sports bikes out there, I don’t care what anyone else says, the way it makes its power is just perfect for fast road use. With the Power Commander 5 fitted and the fuelling sorted my 2011 Blade performed as well if not better than the 2012 version.
