This is my late father's bike.  Selling as I am more of a dual sport rider, and the K1200LT likes straight lines.  Comes on a salvage title.  67,000+ miles on it. Has a few stratches and pieces broken where he had dropped it (heavy bike/high center of gravity). Comes with a six CD disk player, intercom system for two riders, heated grips, ultra high light bulbs, a 2 meter amateur radio, air horns (load pipes save's lives), new front tire (Metzler), and tools.  It has had a final drive seal replaced about five years ago.  Bike has a new battery and runs but has been sitting for some time.

  • 2012 BMW K-Series2012 BMW K-Series (2012)
2012 BMW K1600GT - Excellent Condition - LOW MILES located in Atlanta, GA 30303 I am selling this magnificent pony for an old friend.  He is retired and is not interested/capable in distance trips anymore and is giving up the keys to the next owner to enjoy.  Bike has always been kept in a garage.  I took the bike for a 500+ mile trip a few weeks ago and it is addicting how smooth and fast it is.  The color and stance of this machine really turns heads any where you go.  This model is built with a lower center of gravity, making it a lot easier for guys like me with a 29in inseam to ride comfortably. As I have prepared for this listing, I hate to sell it, but I cannot afford to buy it and keep it for myself.  If this listing does not sell, I am going to prepare my bike to sell for cash towards keeping this one for myself.  You may or may not know, BMW motorcycles usually breaks in at around 40,000 miles and has many more miles and a lifetime of enjoyment remaining.  You are smart to buy a slightly used bike because most of the depreciation has already been incurred by the previous owner.  Original list price on this bike new at the dealership was over $24,000.  Bike is ready for a fly in and ride to it's new home if you want to save yourself some shipping.  Everything on the bike works in perfect condition:  Xenon Headlights Cruise Control Heated both passenger and rider seats and handle grips ABS, Electronic Suspension Adjustments Electronically adjustable Z-Technik windscreen 7 gallon fuel tank rated at 50+ miles/gallon Built in blue tooth Garmin GPS navigation paired with speakers on dash Speakers to pair with radio/satelite radio/phone radio or phone music Michelin Pilot Road 4 GTs New rear brake pads during summer of 2015 Buyer is responsible for pick-up and/or shipping.  I will assist in what ever way I can so please let me know in advance your plans. If you do not want to miss this item, I would advise to bid first and let E-bay do your automatic bids.

Getting a Taste of Honda’s E-Clutch Technology

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

2024 Honda Motocompacto Review – First Ride

Wed, 01 Nov 2023

A cult classic scooter electrified and reimagined for Gen Z Photos: Honda/Wedrick Campbell It doesn’t take long to scoot around Honda’s US headquarters in Torrance, California to see how the new Motocompacto makes a lot of sense. Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

Sun, 29 Jan 2023

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
