holly grove ct at holly grove dr Nice low mileage 1989 Honda PC800 Pacific Coast 800cc v twin touring bike. These are nice LIGHT weight 577 pound versus 900 lb for a Goldwing touring bikes. Designed for low maintenance and high mileage. these will run the same 200k miles like a Goldwing. Nice easy to ride and popular with people who don't want the awkward weight of a Goldwing. These also have a nice large trunk storage. This bike as 32k miles on it and I have the receipts for over a $1000 worth of recent work done to it. Like goldwings the alternator/stator goes out about 30-60k miles and this bike has just had a new 1 installed as well as a new slave cylinder for the hydraulic clutch as well as a new clutch so this bike is good to go for some nice long riding. Runs and rides good 70mph all day long and the thing just purrs right along. recent rear tire as well and front tire has a good year left in it. Paint is good for the age but has some spots on the tank/air box cover. I had considered getting a pre-owned 1 off ebay so not to paint the whole bike but I prefer some paint flaws on my bikes so I don't worry so much about them. Anyway great low mileage touring bike. $315

Own A Scale Model Of The Elf5, One Of The Most Unique Racing Motorcycles Ever

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

If you’re a fan of scale model racing motorcycle kits, this 1/12 scale model of the Elf5 racer, as ridden by Ron Haslam in 1988, should make your mouth water. Designed by famous F1 designer André de Cortanze, the Elf5 was the culmination of a radical experiment by de Cortanze and Elf, the French petroleum giant. And even though it didn’t claim the racing success Cortanze and Elf had hoped, the experimental Elf motorcycles hold a distinctive place in motorcycle racing history, with some of its technology still in use today.  Powered by a Honda NSR500 V4 engine that served as a stressed member and main mounting structure for the single-sided swingarms both front and rear, this recently released scale model is based closely on the actual Elf5 racing machines. This full detailed kit maintains the single-sided suspension, with the front suspension consisting of aluminum alloy and springs that will be partly movable.

2014 WSBK – Assen Results

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
