Honda Other description

1985 Honda 250 Elite/CH-250 Scooter with less than 2800 original miles. Engine number: MF01E-5000189. Honda calls this color "Summer Blond Metallic". Senior owned and in fantastic babied condition, always stored indoors. I hate to let this go as it is perfect to run errands around the retirement area where I live (the grandson needs college funds and the wife says sell!). Please do your own internet search for all the specifications on this great model so I don't have to type it all out. Here are a few significant mechanical details: It has a quiet, powerful four cycle liquid cooled engine (no gas/oil mixing - unleaded fuel) and fully automatic variable speed belt drive (no clutch or gear shifting). There is no rust or corrosion anywhere and the wheels are a beautiful metallic gold color. Many people that see this bike think that it is a new model I just purchased! Depending on load and wind conditions these 250 Elite's can realistically exceed 65 MPH. It has strong pulling power to take off from a dead-stop very quickly if needed. It starts instantly and runs perfect. The brakes are very strong. I have had it fully serviced and it is ready to ride!  The instrument cluster looks new and everything works including all the lights and horn. There is a neat "hidden" key illumination light that will shine down on the ignition switch when the key is not in the bike by pushing the horn button (great at night!). As far as servicing, I had the carburetor cleaned and the auto-choke mechanism replaced along with a new air filter, engine and rear gear case oil change, spark plug and new rear tire. The anti-freeze tested excellent, so no worries there. The bike runs cool and never runs near the half way mark on the water temperature gauge riding in town traffic or at consistent 50+ speeds. The bike still has the original front tire, but the original back one was a little thin on tread, so that was the reason I had it replaced. There is no cracking/checking on the front tire, but you may want to replace it due to age concerns. There are some small scratches here and there like you'd expect on most 28 year old machines , but not too noticeable. Clear title, located in NW Arkansas. Low Reserve (with a very good/realistic Buy-It-Now price). Thanks for looking!
