I purchased this 2006 Honda ST1300 new, in the box, in 2008. I installed an Audiovox CCS100 cruise control, Motorcycle Larry's Highway Blades, and Symtec grip heaters. Fluids have been changed at recommended intervals, and Honda Moly Paste used on the rear splines at both tire changes that I have done. My bikes are always garaged at home, but this motorcycle has seen all types of weather in all four seasons. With that said, most people who see this bike believe it to be new, and are surprised to find out it is 7 years old with over 31,000 miles. The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.

The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.
