1981 Honda CX500 with CBR600rr Forks Cafe Racer Vintage Antique Bobber (1981)
This 1981 CX500 has a custom paint job with a few flows here and there. Custom seat and tail section. The bike has cbr600rr forks/front end. Front tire is new(120/90-17, the last picture shows the bike with the original tire before I swapped it), I have the new rear tire but I have not installed it yet. I also have a set of rear break shoes that will go with the bike, the rear brakes on the bike now squeak a tiny bit, the front brakes are full of life. The small holes on either side of the tail section are for turn signal mounting, if desired. In the photo's it shows the cbr grips and extensions on the lefts but not the right, but I just added the grips and grip extension on the right as well. This bike is in its "work cloths", I was going to strip the entire bike down and powder coat the frame but I do not have the time right now. Since the photo's, I have added a new set of gold colored air shocks, the shocks in the photo's will go with the bike. It handles wonderfully with the cbr front end. I have a rejet kit 90/120 for the carbs which I have not installed yet. This is a 1974 Honda XL250 Enduro Dual Sport 4 Stroke Motorcycle. It has a rebuilt engine, new Kenda tires that have never been driven on, new UFO fenders, new clear hand guards, new handlebars, control handles, perches, and mirrors. Has a new aftermarket front ferring. It does have a Clarke gas tank (the paint is peeling on it). All new cables, brakes, battery, speedometer, and tachometer. The seat was newly recovered. The speedometer only reads 1.4 miles since the entire bike was rebuilt. It has a new chain and sprockets as well. It does need a left case gasket and should be good to go. The motorcycle runs, but I am having to get rid of it because after rebuilding it, I found out I was going to have to have knee surgery and this is a kickstart only bike and I will not be able to start it. Here is a great bike in nice condition..has 24,400k miles..windshield, trunk, good tires..just had it tuned up this spring with oil change, and all set for summer..this is a beautiful will taken care of bike bought from a bike mechanic /restorer ...there is scratches on the side battery panel that were there when we bought the bike...only thing did not have done in the spring was a new battery..and you guessed it the battery is dead. Mon, 02 Jun 2014Gary Johnson narrowly beat out Bruce Anstey to take the first of two Supersport races at the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.

After catching early leader James Hillier of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team on the opening lap, Dunlop continued to set an impressive first lap time of 17:11.107, which translates to a record average speed of 131.730 mph on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.
