When I first decided to buy one of these great bikes, I looked all over Souther California and every bike that I found had very high milage and was in very bad condition. In order to find a PC in very good condition, I had to import one from out of state where the bike wasn't ridden year round. I shipped this bike in from Ohio. I am the second owner. Note that the bike has a new Rifle Windshield When I received it, I had a full service performed and the rear tire replaced. I also replaced the battery about one year ago.

1981 Honda CX500 with CBR600rr Forks Cafe Racer Vintage Antique Bobber (1981)
This 1981 CX500 has a custom paint job with a few flows here and there. Custom seat and tail section. The bike has cbr600rr forks/front end. Front tire is new(120/90-17, the last picture shows the bike with the original tire before I swapped it), I have the new rear tire but I have not installed it yet. I also have a set of rear break shoes that will go with the bike, the rear brakes on the bike now squeak a tiny bit, the front brakes are full of life. The small holes on either side of the tail section are for turn signal mounting, if desired. In the photo's it shows the cbr grips and extensions on the lefts but not the right, but I just added the grips and grip extension on the right as well. This bike is in its "work cloths", I was going to strip the entire bike down and powder coat the frame but I do not have the time right now. Since the photo's, I have added a new set of gold colored air shocks, the shocks in the photo's will go with the bike. I have part of the build of this bike on the CX forum: http://cx500forum.com/forum/cx-customization-modifications/21815-cx500-fork-swap-cbr600rr.html The bike runs great, and shifts through all of the gears without any issue. It handles wonderfully with the cbr front end. I have a rejet kit 90/120 for the carbs which I have not installed yet. I have the original front end with wheel and tire I would sell very cheap with this bike. I will NOT ship this bike!!! Local pickup ONLY!!! Cash in person ONLY!!! This bike also has the Honda Pan-America top box, not some cheap-o box whose color, quality, or finish isn't up to Honda's standard. I've owned this bike for about 5 years now, and unfortunately other obligations have not allowed me to spend as much time on this bike as I would like to ride. In my time owning it, I have replaced the brake fluid once (two years ago), and flushed the radiator fluid and oil change each year except for this year. I generally only put on 1000-2000 miles in a year on the bike. I also for good measure put new brake pads on the bike after the first year that I owned it. This nice bike is ready to ride.

2015 Honda CBR300R Announced for USA

American Honda announced it will offer the CBR300R for the 2015 model year. First unveiled at last fall’s CIMAMotor show in China and also appearing at EICMA in Italy, we were hoping the CBR250R replacement would have arrived in the U.S. earlier in the spring.

Gary Johnson narrowly beat out Bruce Anstey to take the first of two Supersport races at the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.

It was a long time coming, but sidecar racer Conrad Harrison can add one accomplishment to his resume: Isle of Man TT winner. Harrison, along with passenger Mike Aylott won the first of two Sure Sidecar TT races. The win was the first for Harrison since he made his Isle of Man TT debut 21 years ago in 1993.

Michael Dunlop won a historic Dainese Superbike race to kick off the 2014 Isle of Man TT week. Riding the S1000RR, Dunlop secured BMW its first win on the Isle of Man since Georg Meier won on a Type 255 Kompressor in 1939. After catching early leader James Hillier of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team on the opening lap, Dunlop continued to set an impressive first lap time of 17:11.107, which translates to a record average speed of 131.730 mph on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.

The 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season resumes this weekend with the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wis., and all eyes will be on 21-year-old AMA Pro SuperBike rookie Cameron Beaubier on the No. 2 Monster Energy Graves Yamaha YZF-R1. Beaubier may be the new kid on the block, but he entered the season opener at Daytona International Speedway with high expectations.
