Honda Re-Signs Marc Marquez Through 2016 MotoGP Season

Marc Marquez has signed a contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation that will see the reigning MotoGP champion stay with the manufacturer through the end of the 2016 season. “We are very satisfied to have reached an agreement to keep Marc in the team for a further two seasons,” says Shuhei Nakamoto, executive vice president of HRC. “Of course, as Honda, we wanted to keep Marc in our family, and he also wanted to stay with us so … it was natural to renew the contract even if it is very early in the season!

Honda NC700S and NC700X Coming to Canada – US Availability Still Uncertain

American Honda has not included the recently revealed NC700S and NC700X models in its 2012 list of offerings, but it looks like the two motorcycles will be available in Canada. Honda Canada has not made an official announcement but a dealership in Kelowna, B.C., has published a press release that appears to have come directly from Honda Canada saying the two models will be available in Canada in the summer of 2012. In a just released video HRC Team Director Katsumi Yamazaki describes Honda’s Dakar weapon, the CRF450 Rally. Warning: Yamazaki-san’s monotone delivery manages to snuff the excitement factor of what is an incredibly trick motorcycle, but it’s still interesting to watch.
