Honda Other description

2008 HONDA GL1800 Goldwing Trike, This low mileage Motortrike Adventure conversion is a new build performed recently in at our dealership. This has Motortrike's latest design independent suspension system with on board compressor for adjusting the ride. It also features driving lights in the lower aqua shield and monogramed fender bras for paint protection. A few other items to mention are the Iso Grips, Floor boards w/ heel toe shifter, and chrome windshield garnish. This is a great color to own and maintain especially if you enjoy riding more than cleaning. Better bring in your trade and check this one out if you are ready to make the move to three wheels. Standard Features¦Independent Rear Suspension¦Chrome Steel Wheels¦On-Board Air Compressor¦LED Air Suspension & Voltmeter Readout¦Patented Air Ride Suspension¦Over 4' of Suspension Travel¦Progressive Coil Over Shocks¦Integrated Disc Brake System¦Trike Trunk 'Open' Warning Indicator¦Trunk Light on Interior of Door¦Hidden Trunk Door Hinges¦12 Volt Power Source in Trunk¦Exceptional Plastic Side Cover Fit It really is all about the ride. Motor Trike offers an Independent Rear Suspension on many of their conversions. This makes for a great ride by allowing each wheel on the same axle to move independently of each other. This alone creates a smooth ride. However, Motor Trike did not stop there. First, they designed and patented an air ride suspension that offers over four inches of wheel travel. Then, they lowered the spring rate to create a more comfortable ride with plenty of 'give' when traveling over bumpy terrain, with an extra passenger, heavy cargo, or pulling a trailer. Because of the fingertip adjustable air ride suspension and softened spring rate, optimum ride quality is reached. Motor Trike also uses rubber bushings on all suspension components as well as on the differentials to reduce the noise, vibration, and harshness that can be bothersome to riders. Also the roll center height has been lowered ensuring both tires are kept in contact with the road at all times which helps to prevent rolling. And finally, Motor Trike uses a calibrated sway bar to ensure comfortable and secure cornering. With all of these preventative measures in place, the inconsistencies in the road are completely absorbed creating an effortless ride. Independent Rear Suspension All Motor Trike conversions includ

Postie Bike Challenge [video]

Fri, 19 Jun 2009

The Postie Bike Challenge started in 2002 as a one-off event in Brisbane, Australia to prove that small bikes can travel long distances over both asphalt, dirt, sand, or stony surfaces has turned into a 10-day charity event.  The entry fee is $4,000 but almost everything is taken care of, including: Late model Honda CT110 Postie bike (registered to you!) All breakfasts, lunches and dinners All fuel for the trip One way air ticket back to Brisbane Support truck to carry equipment, clothing bag and mechanics Final celebration dinner and hotel accommodation That’s right, you can keep the Honda CT110 Postie bike (designed for commercial and agricultural, also used by Australia Post) but the concept is to give the bike to charity in your name after the event is over, its up to you but more than 90% of the participants do give the bike back. Hit the jump to see the video and for more info on this years trek. The 2009 Postie Bike Challenge will take place from October 3rd to the 13th and will go from Brisbane to Melbourne, the destination changes every year.  The route taken will be about 2,000 miles (the direct route is about 1,000 miles).  If your interested, get your entry form and deposit in ASAP, last years event was sold out.

475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.

Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty.  It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone.   Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).
