Honda Other description

I'm selling my 2005 Honda Silverwing because I am taking up a job overseas for the next few years. It has been good to me, but I can't take it with me, so it's time to part ways.

It's an automatic / CVT. It's a touring model with very wide, comfortable seats (including the passenger seat). There are multiple positions a rider can place his/her feet in, given the length of the runner boards / foot rest areas on both sides. I've ridden it 6-8 hours in a day, multiple times, and can say I've never gotten "iron butt".

The bike gets between 50-55mpg when driving between 55-60mph on the interstate. City mileage is around 45mph (but will drop to 40 if you hot-rod it). Uses 87 octane unleaded gas. I've tried to avoid using ethanol mix whenever possible.

I've also installed and recently cleaned a high-flow K&N air filter. I'll throw in the K&N filter cleaning / "recharge" kit for free. This has improved the mileage as well as given it a better response on the throttle.

The bike was laid down a few years ago when some jack@$$ stopped in front of me and I had to bail to avoid hitting him. The bike didn't roll, flip, etc. It just laid down and played dead. I've attached photos which clearly show the cuts, scrapes, and bruises. They would include: scratched muffler, cracked rear left panel, scratched plastic on the back of the mirrors, as well as white scrapes/scratches on both sides / edges of the frame. The bike still looks great when I wash, polish, Rain-X, and Armor-All it. I still get compliments about how nice it looks. With that said, I've reduced the asking price to reflect the cosmetic damage.

It's due for an oil change, tire change, and possibly a belt change. I actually have new tires ($200), belt ($100), oil (Royal Purple -- $50+), brake pads AND discs, all waiting to be put on the bike. I just didn't get around to it in the last few months and now it's time to ship out, so I don't see the point of doing it myself. Buy the bike and I'll throw in all of these parts. Slap all of this on and you'll have a new bike good for a good many years before needing to do anything other than changing the oil.

I don't do shipping. Local pick-up in Prairieville or we arrange to meet somewhere on I-10 (Tanger Outlet Mall; Mall of Louisiana on Bluebonnet, or some place close).

Isle of Man TT 2013: PokerStars Senior TT Race Results

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

For a while there, it looked as if John McGuinness would be held off the top podium position through the entire 2013 Isle of Man TT. McGuinness had recorded third-place finishes at the Superbike, Superstock and the second Supersport TT races earlier in the week, but the active leader in Isle of Man TT wins was stuck at 19 wins all week. That finally changed and the Honda TT Legends racer finally earned win #20 in the final race of this year’s event, the Senior TT.
