Honda Other description
I moved and want to sell my 1999 VFR 800i. I love this bike, but I'm in the northwest now and it's not worth keeping for 4 mnths of sunny days. Bike is garaged and ridden by my dad here in Sunland, CA. It has ~50,100 mis, but anyone who knows VFR's know they last forever if well maintained. I'm the 2nd owner and have had it for about 9 mnths. It's never been dropped, never crashed and garage kept. The good: When I bought it, my mechanic gave it a complete tune-up and inspection. He replaced all the fluids, brakes, rear rotor and master cylinder. The tires are still good for a few thousand miles and there are no mechanical problems with this bike. I'd be happy to give you mechanics name & # so you can ask him what he all did and his honest opinion after riding it quite a bit while looking for a rear brake issue, which turned out to be a bent bracket by foot brake and leak in brake hose. This bike is awesome, it is fast, responsive, corners very well, comfortable and a blast to ride. The bad: The chain will need to be replaced in a thousand miles or so. The exhaust is stock and doesn't sound like the powerful 800 beast this bike is. I know 2Brothers makes aftermarket ones that sound and perform better, but I didn't have time to make that investment. The ugly: The paint on the gas tank (right about where your stomach can rest) is faded. The previous owner had a magnetic tank bag on it and I guess it wore down. The rest of the paint is in attractive condition. The windshield is the original and has faded. I tried a polishing kit to bring it back, but it didn't help much. There like 35 bucks on-line, but again, once I knew I was moving I didn't want to put more money into this bike. The rest of the bike just has the normal wear that you'd see on any 1999 bike. It's never been dropped and there are no big scratches or bends. It got bumped and tipped once so there a small crack in front right fairing by turn signal but barely noticeable unless you know it's there. Yes I have the seat tail cover for cafe' look and I also have the optional passenger grab bars.Serious offers only seriously. Oh, and if you don't have an M1, your own helmet and real green cash in hand, do not expect to be test-riding it. I don't have the time, insurance or desire to fund your joy ride. Yes, $3000 is a good realistic price for this bike in this condition and I already have a low ball offer from friend. I appreciate honesty.ALSO, I have a 1990 VFR 750f interceptor if you are looking for a cheaper, older ride or both bikes for $5,000 It has a fair amount of missing and damaged plastic, scratches etc from being dropped a few times on good rough rides. BUT this rocket runs well and has been worked on by same mechanic as 800 so if you can handle iffy looks on a reliable fun ride, then maybe we should talk. Both bikes have good clear title and current reg so ready to fly. The 1990 is not on C's list yet since I didn't take pix yet but will do asap if u r interested.PLX text cell # below for a quick reply and you MUST include the letters "VFR" in the txt to assure u r not a phisher. Phishers may get a pic back of my dog's junk with a very explicit love letter and link to more dogs' junk. Be real and fun or move on!XXXX@gmail.com / cell

2014 AMA Supercross – Atlanta Results
Mon, 24 Feb 2014KTM‘s Ken Roczen continues to impress, taking his second AMA Supercross win of his 450-class rookie season at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Roczen, who also won the season opening Anaheim 1 round, took advantage of a mistake by Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto to take the win and move within nine points of the defending champion in the rider standings. The main event started with Smartop Motoconcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi taking the holeshot for his best start this season.

Mon, 27 Jan 2014Honda presented its 2014 World Superbike and Supersport team, including the new CBR1000RR SP racebike in a presentation at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy. Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam are returning in the Pata Honda team colors to ride the CBR1000RR SP in the WSBK class while Michael van der Mark and Lorenzo Zanetti will ride the CBR600RR in the WSS championship. Last season was disappointing for Honda, with both Rea and Haslam missing significant time due to leg injuries.
Church of MO: 2002 Honda 919 First Ride
Sun, 22 May 2022Here at modern MO, we probably wouldn’t publish a road test of a new Honda without a few photos of the thing in action. Twenty years ago, though, there was probably a perfectly reasonable-sounding excuse: My dog ate the film, a bear ate the photographer… Most probably, somebody slud the shiny new Honda 919 down the road on the way to the shoot, and the show had to go on. Who knows?
