Energica Where’s My EGO Tour Hits San Francisco July 15-17

The Energica EGO, the Italian electric motorcycle which boasts technology borrowed from Formula 1, will be coming to the U.S. as part of the “Where’s My EGO” tour. The made in Modena EGO uses 3D printing techniques on various components, while its vehicle control unit and multi-map riding system keeps the power in check.

Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel. There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Honda Trademarks Design for Naked CBR300R

Earlier this week, we uncovered Kawasaki‘s design trademark for a naked version of its 250cc single-cylinder Ninja RR Mono. It now looks like Kawasaki isn’t the only Japanese manufacturer with a small-displacement naked model on the way. Honda has registered a trademark on the design for a new motorcycle that appears to be a naked CBR300R or CBR250R.
