1991-2001 ModelBetween 1982 and 1990, the Nighthawks kept the same design and engine specs, until 1991 when Honda replaced the previous engine with a double overhead camshaft 747 engine. Other new additions to the motorcycle were its telescoping fork front suspension, hydraulic front brake system, swing arm rear suspension and rear drum braking system. Honda pre-owned this design until 2002.New Tires front and rear, Carburetor's were just cleaned and rebuilt, Gas tank cleaned and sealed and new petcock installed, New turn signals, New fork seals, Fresh oil change, new brakes front and rear. This bike is at our shop in Fairfax Va and has had a complete checkover and is in perfect running condition and is ready to ride. Minor cosmetic damage (see photos). BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

Last week, Honda revealed the modern successor to the Z50 “Monkey” bike in the new MSX125. While it’s not clear if the Honda MSX125 will be offered in North America, our original post drew a lot of positive comments from our readers so let’s hope American Honda is paying attention. The 2013 Honda MSX125 will be available in Europe however, and Honda’s European arm has released more photographs of the new model.
