THE BIKE HAS A CHARGED BATTERY IN IT, ALL ELECTRICS WORK, EXCEPT LEFT FRONT BLINKER. ENGINE TURNS OVER FINE WITH THE ELECTRIC STARTER BUTON. GUAGE LIGHTS WORK, HORN WORKS. BRAKE LIGHTS WORK. THE BIKE SAT NOT USED FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE REAR BRAKE CALIPER IS MISSING. THE ORIGINAL KEY IS PRESENT. THE ENGINE TURNS OVER FINE, WITH THE ELECTRIC STARTER. *****I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE BIKE RUN. The Vyrus story begins when Bimota filed for bankruptcy in the early 2000s. Vyrus principal Ascanio Rodorigo, a former Bimota employee, began producing his version of the Tesi after Bimota let its patents expire while it was in bankruptcy.
Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale
Wed, 25 Apr 2012Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher. Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.
Brough Superior to Make Moto2 Debut at Silverstone
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The Taylormade Brough Superior racebike will make its Moto2 racing debut at the British Grand Prix at the U.K.’s Silverstone circuit. Backed by insurance company Bennetts, the one-off entry will feature British Supersport racer Luke Mossey riding the Taylormade Carbon 2 racebike. Led by California-based but British-bred Paul Taylor and John Keogh, the Taylormade project was started to rethink the spark the impending relaunch of the Brough Superior brand as well as to explore new ways of designing prototype race machines.
