1989 Honda Goldwing GL 1500 w/ Trailer, This Gold Wing has a color matched trailer with it! The GL 1500 Gold Wing was Honda's top of the line touring bike from 1988 to 2001, This one is a 1989. The Engine on the GL 1500 models is a liquid cooled, horizontally opposed six cylinder 1520 cc with single overhead camshafts and hydraulically operated lifters. Fuel is delivered to two down-draft CV carburetors by an electric fuel pump. The front suspension uses a pair of conventional damper rod forks with an anti-dive device built in. Final drive is by a shaft. The front brakes uses dual disc and the rear brake uses a single disc, the front and rear brakes are interlinked; the brake pedal operates the front left brake as well as the rear brake. The right front brake is operated by the lever on the right handlebar independently of the rear and left front brake.The trailer has new tires on it, the spare is new also. K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The application, filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, reveals a streetbike with round headlight and mirrors but with hand guards, wire spokes and a high-rising exhaust suggesting some off-road capability.
