1986 Honda Cmx 450 REBEL, This is the bigger rebel. only made for 2 years. Wife's former regular ride. Just removed from garage storage after several years. Completed oil and filter change, air filter change and had the carburetors professionally serviced. Also drained, cleaned and treated fuel tank. New rear turn signals (old ones had some cracks in the plastic and torn rubber). Runs great. Has light rust and some wear and tear in places expected for a bike with 39K. Still a cult classic. Only selling because we are military and need to downsize before moving to our next assignment. $1,500.00

2014 Honda CRF250R Announced
Tue, 14 May 2013Honda has completely overhauled its CRF250R motocross bike for 2014, offering an all-new engine and an aluminum beam frame inherited from the CRF450R. With a claimed weight of 231 pounds, the 2014 model is actually 4 pounds heavier than the 2013 model, but the new updates are designed to improve mass centralization, with Honda claiming it to be more flickable and nimble than before. According to Honda, the new frame weighs 20.6 pounds, while the main frame spars meet the steering head lower than on the previous frame, helping lower the center of gravity.

The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
