Honda Other description

1978 Honda CB400T Hawk. $500 OBO.Almost completely original, even has original tires, key ect. second owner, has 3676 mis. Odometer and spedometer work. Has sat in a barn for 30 odd years, and was just recently partially restored. It does run, cranks up readily, and it can be ridden, (putt around), but it needs the carbs to be rejetted, or the original exhaust system installed. Transmission is in terrific shape. And the entire electrical system works flawlessly. With the exception of the horn, its missing the wires to that. And it does have some rust as you can see in the pics. The parts that I have replaced are:spark plugsmain jets for carburettors (still have original jets)shift leverbrake shoes front and rearand exhaust pipes.(headers are stock and the original muffler and cones could be easily installed)the right foot peg is not stock, it is missing the stator cover on the left side of the engine, and of course the wires for the horn. Aside from these and the parts I replaced, it is completely original. Tires do show a little dry rot, but hold air fine.Asking $500 OBOFeel free to call Bryce Hooper at with any questions. Honda Tuner Mugen Motorsports to Enter 2012 TT Zero Electric Race at Isle of Man

Thu, 16 Feb 2012

Engine tuning company Mugen Motorsports announced it will compete in the TT Zero electric motorcycle race at the 2012 Isle of Man TT. Though not officially a Honda company,Mugen was founded by Hirotoshi Honda, son of Honda founder Soichiro Honda, and the company is best known for its work as an engine tuner and parts maker for Honda vehicles. The Mugen entry to the TT Zero represents possibly the closest connection so far between a traditional motorcycle OEM and the relatively new realm of electric motorcycle racing.

WSBK: 2012 Misano Results – Video

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.

475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.

Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty.  It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone.   Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).
