Honda Other description

1972 Honda XL 250 motosport .First year XL ,bike is a  nice survivor , titled ,with a little more attention very nice bike . Here is the rundown on what it needs .The light switch is run thru an aftermarket switch , Basically the right hand  switch  needs repair or replaced ,  choke cable is not there .I just put my finger on the choke lever and 1 or 2 kicks and she starts right up .  , I just use original  key for kill switch ,which also operates fork lock . Bike runs , shifts and rides nicely , but I'm at 7,000 ft. + elevation and may  need a carb adjustment to stay up at this elevation. Needs a  new battery . Original 6030 miles w/ original key  . Seat is very nice , tires are very good dual sports with very few miles on them ,new coil .Tank has some rust but good and very straight overall/no bondo ,and original paint. Good brakes ,lights were working ,see no reason why they are not now . .I just havent rode it for a while.Speedometer and tach function as they should.    Overall ,It is a well cared for Survivor .please ask questions as needed ,I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase , I also have a  parts XL that I may sell cheaply with this .  If the Buy it now is met , I will throw  the parts bike in ! I can deliver to forward air frieght for 100.00,they place them in their crate and it is very reasonable , or I may be able to deliver personally as well for a fee . McGuinness to Race Honda CBR500R at 2013 Isle of Man TT

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

Honda is serious about showing off the racing prowess of the CBR500R. Sharing much of the same components as its siblings the CB500X and CB500F, it’s easy for critics to question whether the CBR500R is worthy of the CBR designation. The first thing Honda did to try to dispel those worries is to secure the CBR500R as the spec race bike for the 2013 European Junior Cup, a racing series for youths held at select rounds of the World Superbike Championship.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
