Honda Other description

1970 Honda 50 Mini Trail

I acquired this bike from its original owner.
He used it occasionally on the back of his motorhome.
The bike was always garaged. I do not have any
idea how many miles are on the bike but it seems
to be very low.
Bike came from Nevada where they did not offer title.

Bike was completely taken apart. Frame, tank, and forks
were professionally sandblasted and painted to match
original Honda colors. First coat was the base silver followed
by four coats of blue. Then three coats of clear coat. It
actually looks much better when new. Hubs were bead
blasted and painted.

Anything that was chrome was rechromed. I am a purist
and did not chrome anything that was not chromed at
the factory.

All parts all original or stock Honda nos.

All new rubber. (Including Brigdestone tires)
New cables.
Chain
Left side case.
Hand grips
Seat
Chain guard
Plus numerous other smaller parts.

Engine ran great and shifted through all
the gears so I left that alone.

The pictures will do the talking for the bike.

My reserve is low but please do not ask.

Will help anyway that I can in shipping but
purchaser in responsible for any cost.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.

Thumbs up for a chilly N.E.C.

Wed, 08 Dec 2010

Apart from the freaky weather I have to say last week’s Carole Nash Motorcycle Live N.E.C. show was the best Birmingham event I've attended in the ten years. I really appreciate the fact that manufacturers chose to ignore the recession giving us great stands to cater for every enthusiast young and old.  Aprilia made a welcome return and I don’t know anyone that didn’t enjoy admiring the WSB RSV4, surely the the most gorgeous bike on the planet? The Honda stand rarely disappoints and this year was no exception with banking bikes providing fun for all the family.
