Honda Magna description

You will receive a beautiful 1987 Honda Super-Magna sport-touring motorcycle, with clear title.

This motorcycle has undergone many repairs:

electrical wiring repairs
new stator
new front shock rebuild
new battery
new gaskets
new Honda factory seat  (you will receive the small passager seat as well)

You will also receive two repair manuals that can guide you in the repairs that are needed as discussed below. The motorcycle ran well, with excellent compression, with all lights working, and has great rubber.

The Problem:  The engine was noisy.  No one in my area knew much about this motorcycle.  Everyone I spoke with told me that it needed new tensioners on the cam chain in order to quiet the engine.  I was told that this work was needed to prevent engine damage.  I drove the bike into a local repair facility where the owner told me he could order the tensioners and install them and adjust the tension on the cam chain.  After opening the top of the heads, and after obtaining the new tensions and installing them into the engine, the shop owner left town and went out of business.  I went back to the facility to pick up the bike, and approved the temporary manager to replace the engine head caps without any adjustment so that I could secure the bike and get it back into my possession.  I tried to get other repairmen to complete the repairs, but all refused since the first shop began the work.

You are buying a vintage motorcycle that I believe has much more life in it. You will have to pick it up with a trailer or truck as it will not crank right now.  You will be given a free title to the bike, a brand new battery, two repair manuals and a new gasget for the engine valve cover (one is missing).

This motorcycle is sold as is, where is, with no delivery or refund.  I REALLY think you can repair this bike and us it with pride.  If you cannot, then the parts can be sold for far more than you are paying for the bike, as many of these parts can no longer be purchased from the manufacturer.

You my write me and ask any question you like.

*** I will deliver within 100 miles for an additional $50.00, to cover the gas expense.

With three top five finishes this year Duclos has proven his own increased competitiveness as well as that of the Sherco 450 Rally bike he’s aboard. In more tragic news, the body of Belgian rider, Eric Palante was found Friday morning on a part of the fifth stage route that riders completed on Thursday.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
