Honda Magna tech info
Honda Magna description
For sale is a 1982 Honda VF750C V45 Magna. This is an old but strong bike. I've owned it for about 8 years but it's time to say goodbye--want to turn my attention to a project bike I have.
If you're not familiar with these old Magna's, you'll love the 6-speed transmission, the shaft-drive rear wheel (read: low maintenance), and the hydraulic clutch among many other things. It's a fun, simple, reliable, fast bike. Things that have been done/replaced on the bike recently: Rebuilt clutch slave and master cylinders - Spring 2015 Rebuilt carburetors - Fall 2015 Replaced ignition coil - Spring 2016 Replaced plugs - Spring 2016 New air filter - Spring 2016 New speedometer gear - Spring 2016 New coolant o-rings - Spring 2016 New front wheel bearings - Spring 2016 Fresh oil change for the season! - Spring 2016 Some things it needs: Front fork seals Front tire has good tread but is showing some age The seat is in pretty sad shape but it's still functional It is by no means perfect, but the bikes is 34 years old and still runs like a champ. The bike starts and rides great, is licensed, insured and has a clean Mass title. I commute on it for work occasionally (140 miles round-trip) so mileage will change. Willing to deliver for a fee. Fee to be negotiated based on distance and my travel arrangements back home. Full delivery fee due before I will leave to bring you the bike. Can certainly deliver anywhere in New England or New York, but would consider greater distances. Contact me for details. Otherwise local pick-up only. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due with-in 48 hours of sale via paypal. Remainder of payment due by cash or cashiers check in person. Let me know if you have any questions; happy shopping! |

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
American Honda Played A Big Role In Bringing Nicky Hayden Back To Team Red
Tue, 08 Apr 2014In late 2013, American Honda was presented with an opportunity to bring Nicky Hayden back to the Honda family, and renew the relationship that started in 1999 when Hayden was just 17. By retaining Hayden’s services to ride the Honda RCV1000R in the MotoGP World Championship series for the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, American Honda is also now a proud sponsor of the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team. His first MotoGP season (2003) saw Hayden finish fifth in the championship on the Repsol Honda RC211V and win Rookie of the Year honors.
