Honda JZR MORGAN CYCLECAR REPLICA 650CC description

Extremely "Rare" JZR Morgan Replica Cyclecar

Consider these amazing advantages:
1. Drive this by yourself in an HOV lane because it is legally a motorcycle.
2. Be the first in line on any Ferry etc.. because it is legally a motorcycle.
3. Never again pay any tab or license fees because it is a collector status vehicle.
4. Insurance not required because insurance is not required on motorcycles in most states.

The original Morgans were all three wheeled Cyclecars powered by either Matchless or J.A.P. liquid cooled V-twin motorcycle engines. In the spirit of these highly collectable Morgans, this modern recreation is powered by a Honda GL650 motorcycle engine displacing 673 cubic centimeters and making 65 horsepower in a car that weighs less than 900 pounds.

You can spend countless hours reading and researching the original Morgan Cyclecars (and it is very fun reading!). They are highly sought after and there is simply no other comparable driving experience. Given the size and quality of Jay Leno's personal car collection it is noteworthy that he considers his Morgan Three Wheeler one of his favorite cars to drive.

Morgan is once again offering three wheeled Cyclecars for sale for the first time in some 60 years. They are wonderful cars and again offer an unparalleled driving experience. You can own one for around $50,000.

John Ziemba hand builds JZR Cyclecars in Lancashire, England. Over the past 25 years he has produced approximately 400 cars offering them as a complete car or in kit form. Approximately 20 of them have been shipped to the US although most of those are probably unfinished kits and are not on the road. Most JZRs are powered by Honda 500cc engines from CX500 motorcycles. This is one of the very few on the planet that is powered by the larger 650 engine.

Given the cost and availability of original Morgans, new Morgans and Trikings trikingsportscars site this Cyclecar is a bargain. It is the least expensive (by a very large margin) way for you to experience the unique Cyclecar driving experience. Think vintage Austin Healy Sprite, MG TC, Triumph TR3; only more so. It has an incredible sound that can only come from a V Twin motor.

This JZR Cyclecar is titled as a 1983 but was probably assembled in the late 1990s. Brakes and starter clutch have been recently rebuilt and it has a new battery. In short, it is well sorted and needs nothing but to be enjoyed. As an added bonus, since this vehicle is licensed and insured as a motorcycle it can be driven in a car pool lane with a single occupant driver (just like any other motorcycle)! You'll be pleased to know you simply drive to the front of the line along with all the other motorcycles, regardless of how long the line is or how long the wait for ferries. How cool is that? BTW: it gets more smiles, thumbs up and photo inquires than any half million dollar Ferrari.

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class

    Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.
