Honda Interceptor description

I have owned this 2004 Honda Interceptor since it was new.   I paid $10k for it in Florida and rode it from my apartment to grad school for a couple of years, and since then it has been ridden about once or twice per year.  Even when i was riding it to school, i stored inside my apartment living room at night.  Thereafter, it has always been stored on the center stand in my garage with a custom cover on it (the cover comes with the bike sale).   Twice a year i have drained the gasoline with a hand pump and I've always used fuel stabilizer.  It has been serviced every year when i get my inspection sticker so it is always in ready-to-ride mode.  It has always had a battery tender plugged into it, and there is a convenient tender plug that comes out of the side of the bike for that purpose.  It was only this spring that i had to replace the original battery, and i purchased the expensive OEM battery from the dealership, where i have always had my oil changes and inspections performed.  i removed the passenger footpegs and chrome cover on the side exhaust pipe, because i thought it made the bike look better and i never take passengers anyway.  However, i have all the parts and hardware so you can put it back on.  The color is what made me fall in love with the bike and buy it.  It's called Asphalt Black.  I've never seen it on any other bike (I think it was just a one year thing, but I'm not sure), but it's a matte finish black that is totally awesome looking.  The bike is in mint condition with no dings and rust or any real sign of wear, given its age.  The engine is a V4 6-speed and is outstanding in canyon riding because it revs high and you dont need to do alot of shifting through the twisties. I like the slightly more upright seating position of the Interceptor, that saves your back on long rides and yet is still worthy of being called a sport bike.  MPG is low to mid-30's with regular gas.

Please - no deals outside of this Ebay auction.  i will not entertain any requests or respond to those kinds of emails.  This bike will not be relisted if it doesnt sell on this first try - my schedule is too busy this year.  Also, I apologize ahead of time but I will only accept cash or a paypal or bank direct deposit.  Also, I will not deal with any third parties, only directly with the new owner who must come get the bike.  i had a problem with a third party agent when selling my wife's vehicle and never again.  if you want it delivered out of the Austin area, you may make arrangements after our sale is complete.   I can pick you up at the Austin airport if necessary after the sale (its about 40 minutes away).  Thanks for your understanding.
Once you have purchased bike, the process is: you email me to let me know what your plans for payment and pickup are.  I will reply and you send me legible copy of drivers license for preparation of title transfer and bill of sale.  i will have my bank invoice you the balance for a confidential debit to your account (thru my bank Chase - its called Quickpay if you want to google it) or you bring cash when you pick up bike.  We exchange title and money and you are on your way.
All the best to you in finding that perfect bike!  This is my 7th bike and i have enjoyed it the best for its all around sport and touring characteristics.

I'm buying a Honda SH300i scooter

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

I want to buy a second bike to get across town on the daily commute as I currently ride a 183bhp ZX-10R to work and while it's a peach of a bike, it tempts me into doing bad things on a daily basis. This has to stop. My criteria is fairly simple: I want something that is cheap to buy (close to £2k), cheap to run, frugal on the fuel, easy to ride, nimble through traffic, dull enough to not get nicked and ABS is a deal-maker.
