The engine had an 11.6-to-1 compression ratio and developed 99.1 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 54.2 foot-pounds of torque at 8,750 rpm. The Interceptor had a six-speed transmission and chain final drive, and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 100 mph in 7.8 seconds. Dimensions The Honda's dry weight was 471.8 lbs. and it had a maximum fuel capacity of 7 gallons, with 1 gallon in reserve. It had a wheelbase of 57.4 inches and a seat height of 31.7 inches. The front used a 120/70-ZR17 tire, and the rear had a 180/55-ZR17. Brakes and Suspension Twin 11.7-inch disc brakes at the front of the Honda are on hand to stop the bike. A single 10.1-inch disc brake helps out from the back. ABS is optional. The front suspension system had 4.3 inches of travel. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.
