Honda Interceptor tech info
Honda Interceptor description
Up for sale is my refurbished and ready to ride 1986 Honda VFR700F Interceptor. Original condition with a few desirable upgrades in gorgeous red, white & blue. 25,050 miles, mechanically and cosmetically inspected, cleaned, updated, replaced, repaired — whatever needed attention was accomplished. This is an original-condition survivor Interceptor in excellent condition with only a few minor flaws. No issues, no excuses, no disappointments. The paint is gorgeous, the mechanics are correct, the tank is rust-free inside. The bike starts and runs perfectly hot or cold.
This second generation Interceptor is historically significant in Honda's sport bike history, was ahead of it's time, and combines the 11,500 RPM redline of a smaller displacement engine with the torque of a 700. The V4 is a jewel of engineering and has a sound and feel unmatched by inline four cylinder engines. These are unique bikes and will never lose a dime of value. My hobby is finding and returning these great second generation Interceptors to the road and back into the hands of new owners who appreciate their performance, beauty and historical significance and will care for them into the future. Please visit my website for more on what I do: V4Dreams (dot com) More about this bike: - Production number 852 - This generation of VFR produced only in '86 & '87 (USA) - Colors are Fighting Red, Candy Aleutian Blue and Shasta White - Includes the hard to find passenger seat cowl in excellent condition - Cobra F1 4-into-2 aluminum slip-ons - Rated at 105 HP (stock) - The bike is all original as far as I can determine with the exception of a professional repaint of the right-side fairing. I can deliver the bike at no charge within 100 driving miles of Antioch IL via open trailer, or farther by arrangement. If you're able, please come by and inspect the bike in person. Asia-Only Honda VTR250 Gets Half-Faired Variant for 2013
Tue, 12 Feb 2013Honda‘s CBR250R has done fairly well for itself since its introduction in 2011, helping to revitalize the entry-level segment of the market in the U.S. What some people may not realize is Honda has been producing a 250cc-class called the VTR250. Available in its current form since 1997, the Honda VTR250 is a naked standard with a Ducati Monster-esque trellis frame offered in the Asia-Pacific region.
Top box trauma
Wed, 24 Nov 2010I've struggled with my Honda hard luggage over the past few months, I have to admit. To much office hilarity (and piss taking) I managed to lose the top box just a few miles from the office. I thought the locating mechanism was fastened securely but the first rapid getaway from the first set of traffic lights on Upper Street proved me wrong. It was at least a mile before I noticed that my top box was absent.
Bradl prepares for Laguna's Corkscrew
Wed, 25 Jul 2012A rookie to Laguna Seca, Stefan Bradl shows one way to prepare for the Corkscrew; by riding his LCR Honda RC213V down the famous Lombard Street in San Francisco. The reigning Moto2 champion may have never raced at the Californian track but earlier this year he used a break between races to learn the circuit on a Honda CBR1000RR, having only had a virtual experience of Laguna before this year. At the time the young German said: "It is downhill, and there are lots of blind corners.
