Honda Interceptor tech info
Honda Interceptor description
86 VFR700f Interceptor with just over 44k miles. Runs excellent. New battery, brand new Avon Roadrider tires. Recent oil change. Carbs just cleaned and bench synced. Fork seals just replaced. Fairings are rough but bike looks good from 10 feet away. Apparently at some point the 750 fairings replaced the originals. Tail section broken and glued/zip tied back together by one of the previous owners. Several cracks in front fairings. Looks like some brackets were made up to secure the front fairings on. Inner fairings missing. Some miscellaneous fasteners were safety wired, looks like someone was prepping the bike for track duty. Some evidence of being laid down on the left side, minor road rash on the left muffler and kickstand, not bad. I see fairly fresh sealant on the stator cover like someone was in there. My hope is the stator is new but I cannot confirm this. Looks like some battery wires were added to the voltage regulator to improve charging. The bike has obviously been used and abused but it runs great and goes down the highway smooth. Mechanically pretty good, chain and sprockets look good. Minor surface rust in tank. Brakes roughly 50% worn. Also includes the solo seat cover which I had a hell of a time finding. Sold with bill of sale only, no titles issued in CT for anything over 20 years old. Currently registered and insured in my name. Any questions just ask. Very reasonable reserve. $200 deposit thru PayPal

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
Rossi and Hayden Find Improvement but Disappointed with Results
Thu, 01 Mar 2012The good news for Valentino Rossi is he managed to narrow the gap in lap times between his Ducati Desmosedici and Casey Stoner‘s Honda RC213V. The bad news is other riders improved more than he did. Rossi completed 57 laps and set a time of 2:01.550 on the third and final day of the second MotoGP test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit.
2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced
Thu, 30 May 2013Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort. However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.
