Honda Interceptor tech info
Honda Interceptor description
Please DO NOT BID unless you understand this bike is being sold AS PARTS ONLY!!!
You're looking at my 1986 VFR-500 Interceptor.
THE STORY IS THIS:
I took the bike in for it's annual oil change at the dealer, and after the technician (excellent, BTW) changed the oil and took it for a test ride, a seal on the lower left side of the motor blew out...and all the oil leaked out. He refilled the oil, and diagnosed the seal problem, and told me it CAN'T BE FIXED without replacing the seal...which is stripped. He tried putting a new seals in..and they kept blowing out.
That's the story...I'm selling the bike FOR PARTS ONLY!!!...
Please look at the photos carefully before bidding....I'm not going to answer TECHNICAL questions...Trust me: I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER, so don't bother.
WARNING: This an extremely COMPLEX MACHINE (take a look at the online schematics).
If you already own one of theses machines, this can make a great parts bike. Mufflers, plastics, wheels, tires, fuel tank are all in very good condition without dents and scrapes.
I have a clean NYS TITLE in my name.
BUYER MUST PICK UP IN RIVERHEAD NY 11901
