Very nice looking for it's age and runs good, but it is getting a little oil in the coolant. I suspect that it needs a headgasket or something. Nice 1981 GL1100 Goldwing for bid. This bike is in good overall condition for a 30 year old bike. It has quite a few features for the year and comes as pictured with air suspension, locking side bags, top trunk, helmet locks, foam grips, throttle lock cruise control, and an after cd player (needs to be installed). It starts right up even after sitting and idles great (it was running when I took the pics). Doesn't burn or drip oil or any other fluid either. Brakes work but could use a little attention in the future. The front squeaks a little when stopping and the rear is a little weak (probably just needs to be bled). The trans shifts smoothly with no clunks and the clutch works as it should too. The bike has never been dropped or laid over to my knowledge but does have some scratches here and there in the paint from use (mostly on top of the bag covers and tank). The chrome and engine still shine. The windshield is clear and isn't hazed like most of them are. All the lights work good. Tires have at least 1 season of riding left on them. I wouldn't hesitate to ride it anywhere and it is actually one of the most comfortable bikes I have ever ridden. Just selling to get something a little more sporty. Has clear title ready to go! I bought this from a Harley Davidson dealership a couple of years ago. They had taken it on a trade-in. I wanted it to be a project bike but haven't had time to work on it. When they rolled it off the truck on delivery it started up and ran well. I think it needs front fork seals as there is some evidence of leakage around front forks. It's been in my neighbors heated basement garage but it has been sitting. Needs brakes for sure. Rest may be minimal but I'm not sure about carb seals now since it's been sitting. Gas tank was drained when bike was stored though. Custom tooled leather seats and other custom features. Cool looking bike. That's about all I know. If you know about bikes you can get this on the road with a fairly minimal investment. Otherwise you can at least "part it out" and probably double your money. 1982 Honda Goldwing GL 1100 Aspencade (1982)
1982 Honda Goldwing Aspencade. Bought new by my Father-In-Law in 1982. Always stored. I purchased it from him last year in June before his death. I have done the following restorations to the bike and want to move on to another project even though this one is nearly fully completed. Just tired and want to move on to another one. New front and rear wheel bearings and seals, New brake pads, Rebuilt the front master cylinder, New battery this year with a new Battery Tender, New Bridgestone tires this spring with less than 250 miles on them, New exhaust system and synchronized carbs and re-jetted to accommodate new exhaust. Fresh set of plugs, Valves adjusted. New Timing Belts less than 8,000 miles ago done by my father-in-law at the Honda Shop. Shaft drive inspected and regreased with new fluid in the rear reservoir. New Progressive front fork springs and front forks sealed and new Progressive HD rear springs because the air suspension system did not work and to replace it was more than having the mechanic put on an all new suspension and it does ride very well. New hand grips and no tears or rips in the seat. The radio was removed and as were the speakers long ago because it quit working for my father-in-law. He remounted the charge gauge to the center of the interior of the fairing. The only scratch is on the right rear on the tour-pack and photo shows it. It has Markland Passenger Floorboards and I also have the Markland Wrap-Around Light Bar that goes around the saddlebags. The windshield is new this spring as are the speedometer cable and tachometer cable. The center-stand was removed to accommodate the new exhaust system. It has new hoses and a new thermostat and fresh anti-freeze, fresh oil change and an extra oil filter that will come with it. No leak or oil burning from the engine and no leaks from the coolant system. All new bulbs and a new headlight replaced with a Sylvania Hi/Low Beam SilverStar lamp. The lower fairing cowls were removed by me for the reason being the attachment points were all cracked, replacements are available on eBay but I kind of liked it without them because they were hiding a lot of chrome underneath them.2013-09-29 03:31:00Saint Elmo, Illinois, US57,7691,325.00 -

Condition: The bike is in excellent running condition. The motor runs excellent and has been very well maintained. There are some fixers about this bike. (1) the headlight assembly is not there, I had troubles with it on my trip from Colorado to New York, so I removed it and replaced with a universal round headlight (which works fine). (2) the headlight switch will need replacing to have high and low beams- I have it on low permanently. (3) the tachometer just stop working about a month ago so it needs a new tach cable. This bike will be very easy to make mint blue book value, it currently would fall under good blue book which is around $3400. I use this bike nearly everyday, but I need money and have to get my truck on the road. Features: There are many cool lights and chrome accessories on this bike. In very nice condition for its age,it could use a little tuning, the speedo just recently stopped working, all its power is there it hits 90 mph without any issues, the paint has a few chips but overall very good condition, In the one photo in the desert, the bike is complete when I got it 2 months ago, I drove it across the country to VA which its where it is now in my fathers garage,my plans have changed and IM in Europe now and don't know when Ill be back witch is why IM selling it, the only parts that are no longer with the bike are the highway pegs and the antennas' the stereo didn't work very well any way, I was playing around with the look of the bike before I left and put it into storage, so in the other pics is pretty much how I left one month ago, the pipes are also off because I was gonna bring them with me to Europe to use on my other goldwing =D but I didnt, so theres about three boxes with them, and all the other extra chrome and fenders, so to start the bike it must be filled with fuel the battery connected and mufflers put on, I could possibly have someone do it before pick up..also it has Canadian documents, and brand new import papers I never titled it, the original documents have my signature as buyer, so I imagine all that is needed is a bill of sale from me to the new buyer.2016-11-10 04:35:19charlottesville, United States65650 -

Pedrosa Staying with Repsol Honda Through 2016 MotoGP Season
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Honda has signed Dani Pedrosa to a two-year contract extension that will see the Spanish racer stay with its factory MotoGP team through the 2016 season. By the end of the contract, Pedrosa will have spent a whole decade racing for Honda in the premier class to go with another five seasons in the 125cc and 250cc classes. The signing follows a similar two-year contract extension for Pedrosa’s teammate, the reigning World Champion Marc Marquez while over in the Yamaha camp, Valentino Rossi also recently signed a two-year contract extension, making 2016 the year to watch for silly season drama.

Mon, 07 Jul 2014Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.
