2008 Honda Gold Wing, GL1800 (GL18BM8) AIRBAG model. Excellent condition. Beautiful pearl white color. 39,712 miles. Original owner. Garage kept. Adult driven. ABS brakes, GPS navigation, air ride adjustable suspension, cruise control, electric reverse, heated seats and heated grips. AM-FM radio, connection for iPod. Meticulously maintained/serviced. Just completed full synthetic oil change service. All maintenance work completed by certified Honda Motorcycle technicians. No accidents. There is a scratch on the lower left side below seat (see last pic). Options include a (removable) back rest for those long highway rides. Tires recently replaced so plenty of tread life remaining. Battery Tender included. Comes with clean and clear title, (2) keys, all manuals, and factory tool kit. Note: This 2008 GL 1800 Honda Gold Wing airbag model is under recall by Honda for the airbag. Honda sent a notice indicating that remedy parts will be available in the fall of 2016. The repair will done free of charge. In addition, the notice states that in the meantime, should you wish, you can have the airbag deactivated by any authorized Honda motorcycle dealer at no cost to you. Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept
Tue, 03 Apr 2012San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).
2011 Isle of Man TT Recap
Fri, 10 Jun 2011The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
2012 Honda CRF250L Announced for Europe But Not For America … Yet
Wed, 29 Feb 2012Honda announced it will introduce the new CRF250L to Europe this year. North American availability has not been confirmed, though it appears the new dual-sport, which shares a similar engine to the Honda CBR250R, may soon be announced for these shores. While there’s no official word on the Honda CRF250L in the U.S.,the liquid-cooled dual sport has already appeared in North America, appearing last weekend at the Montreal Motorcycle Show.
