2005 Honda Gold Wing on 2040-motos
Honda Gold Wing tech info
Honda Gold Wing description
I am the original owner of this bike and purchased it in August 2005. There is nothing wrong with the bike and the only reason I am selling it is because I purchased another full size bike and I do not need two.
The oil has been changed like clockwork every 4,000 miles. New tires were put on about 9,000 miles ago (these are good for at least another 9,000). New battery was installed this past August. All safety recalls were tended to (no issues were found). There are many add-ons to the bike - chrome, lights, Ultimate Big Boy seat, Traxxion dynamics suspension, Baker air wings. Muth mirrors - and much more. There are some loose/broken wiring connections that affect some cosmetic lighting that can be diagnosed and repaired if you are inclined to (I wasn't) - the set of halogen lights underneath the mirrors, marker lights on forks, passenger floor boards, rear mud flap (all of these are evident in the pictures). There is a 6 CD changer in the trunk that has 6 CDs stuck in it for the last seven years. There is a Sirius XM satellite radio that also has a loose connection (I discontinued the service on it). There is some flaking of the chrome on the floorboard (can be seen in the pictures) as well as on the rear flag mounts (the yellow flag does not come with the bike). There is a tire pressure monitor that was an add-on but has been disconnected as it was very unreliable (get on your knees and check the tire pressure the old fashioned way). Hairline crack on the trunk lid where the rear rack connected to the lid. Overall the bike is in very good condition; you will not be disappointed. Mileage may increase slightly if I decide to ride it. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. |

Tue, 02 Oct 2012Today at Intermot 2012, Honda unveiled the CRF450 Rally, the machine it plans to enter in the 2013 Dakar Rally, marking the manufacturer’s return to the race after more than two decades. Honda has competed nine times from 1981 in the forerunner of the present Dakar Rally, the Paris-Dakar Rally. Cyril Neveu of France took Honda to its first victory in 1982, the race’s fourth year, and from 1986 to 1989 Honda won four consecutive titles for an overall record of five victories in nine years. The CRF450 Rally is based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model, and features electronic fuel injection, auxiliary fuel tanks in the panniers and lower side fairings, and the requisite navigation equipment located behind the windscreen.
2012 Honda CBR1000RR Leaked
Thu, 18 Aug 2011Pictures of the 2012 Honda CBR1000RR have leaked from a distributor in Hong Kong, revealing some updates including a Showa Big Piston Fork, updated display and styling facelifts. The photos show the new Honda Fireblade (as it’s known in other markets) in HRC tri-color trim which, judging from color options offered on other recent Honda models, won’t be available in the U.S. 2012 also marks the 20th year of the RR so an special anniversary paint scheme might be offered.
Isle of Man TT 2013: Lightweight TT Race Results
Fri, 07 Jun 2013James Hillier set new lap time and race time records in a dominating victory in the Lightweight TT race for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. The race started with another Kawasaki rider (the class is dominated with Kawasaki Ninja 650s with a few Suzuki SV650s) Dean Harrison taking the early lead through the Glen Helen viewpoint but Hillier was right on his tail about half a second behind.
