Honda Gold Wing tech info
Honda Gold Wing description
You are bidding on a 2000 Honda Goldwing SE - 25th Anniversary Edition. Most consider this one of the best, if not the best, touring bike ever produced. I am the second owner of this bike, owning it since 2007. I bought it with a little over 18,000 miles on it. It has always been garage kept and very seldom even in the rain. This bike has always been serviced and kept up to the highest standards. You will see from the pictures that the condition is very good, even the seat looks new. It has your typical SE options such as reverse, CB radio and cruise control. Things that have been added include a luggage rack and an auxiliary to the radio plus an accessory charging port. The brakes and tires have less than 1,500 miles on them. The only reason I am selling this bike is that I other projects going on with rebuilding vehicles and just don't ride the bike like I used to. I have decided there is no sense in this fine bike setting collecting dust when someone could be on it enjoying life's highways. This bike is ready to hop on an go cross country or a ride through your neighborhood. This is an excellent bike. You can text or call me at 304-922-0924 if you have questions. (Text preferred). |

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty. It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone. Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).
More European Consumers Choosing Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Honda‘s work developing its second-generation dual clutch transmission appears to be paying off, at least in Europe. According to Honda, customers have purchased more than 12,500 units with DCT since the technology was first made available on a production motorcycle with the VFR1200F in 2010. The Japanese manufacturer now offers four models in Europe with optional DCT: the VFR1200F, the NC700X, the NC700S, and the Crosstourer.
