Honda Gold Wing description

1982 Honda Goldwing 1100 standard with Vetter Terraplane sidecar. Bike has had tons of work done to it. 38k miles which is nothing for a Goldwing. It has the following:

-Custom front and rear fenders
-Turn signals, rear tailight assembly, electronic flasher
-Custom made seat and pan
-New water pump, battery, fork seals w/ heavy duty springs
-Carbs cleaned and synced
-New handlebars and grips
-Recent tires
-Lots more just can't think of it at the moment

Sidecar is a Vetter Terraplane. Windshield removed for easier use for my puppy. Have original tinted windshield and the rare side curtains with matching tint. Sidecar has a headlight recessed in the front with a separate on/off switch. Sidecar has original seat, just removed in pic for my puppy. As you can see it opens for easy access. Locking storage behind the seat. Less than 1,000 of these Terraplanes made and they are great! Drives much better than a Velorex 562 that you see on most sidecar setups.

Bike runs great and is the most stable sidecar rig I have ridden. Does not pull left or right. Can take your hands off the bars at 60 without issues. Only issues on the bike are if it is not started for a month or so the right exhaust will briefly blow smoke. I am assuming this is from the bike being setup with a slight angle to the right with the sidecar. If it is started regularly this does not happen. Also the gas and temp gauge do not work. Common problem on these but not sure what it is. I just use the trip meter like any other bike. Radiator fan works as it should and turns on and off automatically.

May consider separating the Vetter Sidecar but the price would have to be right.

Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of  resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.

2012 Honda CBR1000RR Leaked

Thu, 18 Aug 2011

Pictures of the 2012 Honda CBR1000RR have leaked from a distributor in Hong Kong, revealing some updates including a Showa Big Piston Fork, updated display and styling facelifts. The photos show the new Honda Fireblade (as it’s known in other markets) in HRC tri-color trim which, judging from color options offered on other recent Honda models, won’t be available in the U.S. 2012 also marks the 20th year of the RR so an special anniversary paint scheme might be offered.
