Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. After eighteen years of successes, including over 100 victories and 9 world titles, the team achieved the 300 podium landmark through Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa’s efforts in the tenth round of this year’s MotoGP World Championship season. The energy company and the Japanese factory joined forces in 1995, with the intention of reaching the peak of the premier class.
Stoner explains the tank slapper
Mon, 03 Oct 2011Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
