I purchased this excellent CT 70 about two years ago. Since that time I have added more motorcycles than my garage can handle and am now in the process of downsizing. This CT70 has sat mostly and looks almost too good to use but she should be used. Mileage is at 2368 but the engine has been gone through and rebuilt. Below is a description of what has been done to the bike: Motor: Top end completely rebuilt, machine shop bored, honed and surfaced the cylinder, new OEM Honda Piston and ring kit installed @ .75mm over, new OEM Honda top end gasket. New OEM valves ground and ceeted, new OEM Honda Valve seal and head was also surfaced. new DID timing chain, new keihin carb. Runs like new with great compression. Paint: Frame, swing arm and chain guard were stripped to bare metal, primed wiht self etching primer, two coats of sandable primer, then three coats of color and three coats of clear. Paint job looks really nice. New graphics were installed after the paint cured. All other itme stha needed painted black or silver were also completed. New Parts: CHP Handle Bars. CHP Exhaust Shield. CHP Head pipe guards CHP Spark plug guard CHP Chrom frame trim CHP Complete seat assembly OEM Honda throttle assembly OEM Honda Grips OEM Honda air filter element New Battery New air box grommets New cables New Turn Signals New Polished aluminum headlight ears New lights and horn control switch assembly New Kick Starter. New Tires. Everything on this little honda works. Starts easily and runs great. Very low starting bid on this auction with no reserve. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. 45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
2015 Honda CBR300R Announced for USA
Tue, 03 Jun 2014American Honda announced it will offer the CBR300R for the 2015 model year. First unveiled at last fall’s CIMAMotor show in China and also appearing at EICMA in Italy, we were hoping the CBR250R replacement would have arrived in the U.S. earlier in the spring.
