Honda CT description

VERY Nice survivor 1973 CT70H. Includes title that was issued in 1974, as shown. Fires up , hard cold starting. Takes a while to warm up. I put a good walkaround video on youtube, look up "suicycleschopshop" to see it. After making the video, a light bulb went off in my head, and I think the points are dirty. I looked in the carb, its clean. Has excellent compression. Shifts through all gears. Acts like its starving for fuel, but like I said, I realized later its probably dirty points. It sat in a basement for many years (gas was drained). I rode it around the yard for about a half hour, had to feather the gas. This bike has ALL OF THE aspects for an easy resto. Ive owned a lot of Honda minis, and this ones in that top "wish list" of easy restorations.I was SO close to restoring it myself, but then school and 4 kids brought me back to reality lol ! Includes title which was issued in 1974, and the other pieces that came with that including envelope. Not sure if its a 1 owner, but thats dang close if it isnt !

Might be a long description, but heres some more info. Nice straight fenders, some paint overspray on the seat and rear fender, but seat is rip free and all will clean up. Missing headlight lens. Forks are super nice. Seat pan rock solid. Rims great, just need paint. Exhaust repaired. NOT A TOUCH OF SMOKE when running. Bars straight. Cannot say enough, and judge by my feedback and experience, that this is an excellent candidate for resto, or tune up and ride. It truly is a survivor !!!

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Asimo: Lazy bastard

Wed, 22 Aug 2012

Honda's ASIMO, Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility robot is a pretty cool thing. Until I'd seen it in the flesh (plastic?) I thought it was just a willy-waving exercise from Honda, but when I saw it running and walking up and down stairs, I was massively impressed. So, perhaps, one day, we'll have the ability to buy a relative of ASIMO to help us around the house, I thought to myself.
