Honda CT tech info
Honda CT description
This is a 1970 Candy Sapphire Blue Trail 70 that has been restored correctly and has a clear CA title. Frame: CT70-224133 Engine: CT70E-223595 The bike was painted by Mike Hogan of Vintage Honda Painting in Long Beach, CA. It is a perfect Candy Sapphire Blue paint job. The engine was built by Darrel Gunderson of Gunderson Restorations in Las Vegas, NV. I had all the black parts powder coated, rebuilt the carburetor, had all the hardware re-zinc’d or purchased new Honda hardware, rebuilt the wheels, hubs and suspension and assembled the bike. It has been test-ridden and everything verified working and adjusted. This bike is correct for a 1970 Honda K0. It is all Honda parts with the exception of a few items. The seat, handlebars, and rear shocks are CHP. The rest is all OEM Honda parts that have been re-chromed or re-finished correctly. The only part I did not take a part and refinish is the speedometer. In order to re-set them to zero you have to pry open the stainless trim ring and even though the gasket that seals the speedo to the headlight bucket covers that it’s impossible to put it back exactly as it was. This speedo is very nice and the overlay colors were perfect. I decided to leave it original. The bike has 1.5 miles on it since it was finished. I rode it around my neighborhood to seat the brakes and get the oil hot so I could adjust the clutch. It is a new motorcycle! Everything is new from the wiring harness to the fork seals and front suspension parts. It is ready to ride or display. It runs and rides like a new motorcycle. I’ve had a lot of CT70’s - I’m a huge fan of them. This is as good as it gets in my opinion. I’m keeping my reserve as reasonable as possible. Please understand there is a lot invested in this bike. The paint and engine alone are $2,000. Everything is new and if you are interested I will show you a spreadsheet of all the parts and the costs. If you contact me I will be very open about the costs and what I’m trying to achieve. Included with the bike is the is a one gallon ziplock of all the parts-bags used to build the bike. I will also include all the photos I've taken during the build. I love this color and I’m super happy with how this bike turned out. I’m building a Candy Ruby Red one identical to this next...same painter, same engine builder...same plan just a different color. I have arranged shipping for a couple CT70’s in the past. I recommend U-Ship for these small CT’s. Please reply with any questions and I will contact you as soon as possible. Thanks for your interest! -Rusty |

2012 Honda VFR1200F Returns With Some New Features
Tue, 08 Nov 2011When Honda first introduced the VFR1200F late in 2009, Editor Duke was an instant believer in the machine’s capabilities. It blurred the line between sportbike and tourer, and the addition of a true dual-clutch transmission that actually works was truly a surprise. Honda is bringing the VFR back for 2012, much to our pleasure, and thankfully the company has spent the past two years developing some subtle but significant changes to it.
