Rossi Wins at Assen, but Lorenzo Is the Hero; Alpinestars Releases Crash Data

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

There’s only one thing left to say about Jorge Lorenzo’s 124 mph crash during a rainy practice session last Thursday while warming up for the TT Assen: It could have been a lot worse. Today, Alpinestars released a trace graph analysis of Lorenzo’s spill, thanks to data collected from his TechAir airbag suit.

However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.

For 2014, Honda had tweaked the engine, adding new intake and exhaust ports and a new dual-timing fuel injection setup.
