Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF450R. Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R’s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You’ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That’s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R’s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike’s center of mass. They’re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model’s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you’re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch. Honda Announces Electric Motorcycle Plans
Tue, 13 Sep 2022Carbon neutrality by 2040 Honda announced plans for a carbon neutral future and a goal of introducing 10 or more electric motorcycles by 2025 including three mid-range models and a youth model for North America. Until now, Honda has been very tentative when it comes to electrification, with its main focus being on developing swappable battery packs for electric two-wheelers. Its Japanese counterparts Yamaha and Kawasaki have outlined their own plans, while in North America, Harley-Davidson is days away from finalizing its LiveWire spin-off.

14-Year-Old Canadian Stacey Nesbitt First Woman to Win a National Road Racing Title
Mon, 22 Aug 2011Quebec teenager Stacey Nesbitt has won the Canadian Superbike Championship’s 2011 Honda CBR125R Challenge title. We’re still checking, but organizers are already calling Nesbitt the first woman to win a national road racing championship (excluding women-only categories). The 14-year-old from St-Lazare, Quebec, swept both Honda CBR125R Challenge races in the season finale at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, to win the title with 421 points, 52 points ahead of runner-up Austin Shaw-O’Leary.
