Honda CRF description

2013 Honda CRF 80F, 2013 Honda CRF80F Give your youth a few more cc's of fun. When it's time for beginning riders to step up to a manual-clutch machine, the CRF80F serves as the perfect choice. The 80cc air-cooled four-stroke engine has earned near-legendary status for its toughness and durability, yet it delivers a smooth and tractable powerband uniquely suited to riders learning the ins and outs of manual transmissions. Big-bike styling, nimble handling and amazingly well balanced performance plus Honda's famous reliability make this versatile little bike a real family favorite. This is just the right bike at just the right time. Ideal for tweens and smaller teens, the CRF80F has a durable, easy-shifting manual transmission for those with the size, skill and maturity to handle it. The 80cc four-stroke engine delivers smooth power and performance, while the rugged rear suspension makes it easy to handle. And it s all packed inside a tough steel frame. Throw Honda s reputation for reliability and low maintenance into the mix, and you end up with the perfect bike to give your rider s confidence room to grow. It s not too big. It s not too small. It s the CRF80F, and it s just right.

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
