Honda CRF description

2013 Honda CRF 450R, Destination, assembly and negotiable documentary service fee of up to $150.00 added. It can be seen at Hinshaw's Motorcycle Store in Auburn.2013 Honda CRF450RWinning Is Everything.Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF450R. Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike s center of mass. They re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch. Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and you re going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one.Features:Air Fork = The Future. The CRF450R s new 48mm inverted KYB PSF (Pneumatic Spring Fork) air fork is a cannon shot in the suspension revolution. It s almost two pounds lighter than a conventional-spring fork, is super easy to tune (all you need is an air pump no special tool needed) and totally eliminates internal spring-to-forkleg friction.Twice As Good. Why go to a twin-muffler setup on the new CRF450R? The mufflers are way shorter, lower and tucked in much closer to the bike s center of mass. That helps make the CRF450R even easier to whip and scrub, and also contributes to the bikes improved power, while keeping it quiet at 94db.The Next Generation Of Best.An all-new twin-spar aluminum chassis was designed specifically to work with the CRF450R s new air fork. The twin spars are lower to improve handling and to lower CG. The result? A perfect match of suspension action, steering feedback, and chassis stiffness and compliance.

The reigning champion scored his third double-win round of the season while his teammate Loris Baz added a pair of second-place finishes. David Salom on the Kawasaki’s factory EVO entry was also the top rider in the new sub-class for both races to top off a strong weekend for the Team Green.

Pit Biking; good clean fun for all the family

Wed, 01 Feb 2012

If you haven’t tried Pit Biking yet, you’re missing out on some incredible fun, and it won’t break the bank. The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability!  Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.

Honda is recalling over 20,000 Shadows in the US

Fri, 29 Jan 2016

Honda is recalling 22,142 motorcycles from shipments produced between 2010 and 2016. The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.
